Terms of service

These terms apply when you use refreshly.tech or buy a website audit from us.

What we provide

An automated audit of a website you own or are authorised to act for. Essentials checks speed, links, images, security posture, search visibility, and contact details. Pro adds a real-browser pass covering accessibility, privacy and cookies, schema markup, readability, and a written desktop and mobile walkthrough.

You must be authorised to audit the site

By submitting a website address you confirm you own that site or have permission from whoever does. Auditing fetches pages and makes a modest number of requests; do not point us at sites you have no right to test. We may refuse or stop an audit at our discretion.

What the audit does and does not do

Our crawler identifies itself and obeys robots.txt. Essentials audits only read pages. Pro audits also use the site the way a visitor would: they open menus, follow links and buttons, and type clearly-marked test text into forms to check the fields work.

Nothing is ever submitted, purchased, or changed. Form submission is blocked in the browser we use, controls that complete a transaction are never clicked, and any request carrying our test text is stopped before it leaves. Test values are written so they are obvious if you see them, and use addresses that cannot receive mail.

Reports are generated automatically and describe what we observed at one point in time from one location. They are informational. They are not legal advice, and an accessibility or privacy finding, or the absence of one, is not a determination of compliance with the ADA, WCAG, the GDPR, or any other law. Some findings are marked as lower confidence where a check is heuristic. You are responsible for deciding what to act on.

Pricing and payment

One-off audits are charged once, at the price shown at checkout. Recurring plans are billed once a year and run an audit every three months until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax we are required to add. Payment is handled by Stripe under their terms.

Free audits

Each website is eligible for one free audit, provided it has not already been audited by Refreshly on any plan. The free report shows a subset of results; the rest is available by purchasing an audit. We limit this per website rather than per account, so creating additional accounts will not grant additional free audits.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a recurring plan at any time; it stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not pro-rate part-periods. If an audit fails to produce a report because of a fault on our side, email us and we will re-run it or refund it.

Your content

You keep all rights to your website and its content. You grant us permission to fetch, store, and analyse it for the purpose of producing your reports. We do not use it to train models or share it with anyone beyond the providers listed in our privacy policy.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted availability. Audits depend on your site and on third-party services being reachable; when a data source is unavailable we say so in the report rather than guessing.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to what you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost revenue or lost data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
